The Oil Leakage Of The Cooler Is Mostly Caused By The Thinning And Cracking Of The Casing
When oil leakage occurs in the oil cooler, many customers do not notice that continued use will cause damage to the performance of the oil cooler and unsafety, so this requires us to deal with it in time.
When the oil cooler is leaking, if you touch it with your hand, you can feel obvious unevenness or cracks. The reasons for the thinning or rupture of the casing and the leakage are mainly as follows:
1. First of all, the condensing tube of the oil cooler and the tube sheet are welded by expansion and expansion. Generally, the inlet gas temperature can be as high as 170 degrees Celsius, while the cooling water temperature is below 30 degrees Celsius, and the temperature difference is large. Due to the different materials and thermal expansion coefficients of the heat exchange tube and the shell, coupled with the large temperature difference stress, it will easily cause the heat exchange tube to become thinner. After a long time, the thinned place will rupture and then leak.
2. The water vapor content at the gas inlet is very high, the gas flow rate is large, and the temperature is high, which will directly flush the tube. Once the gas is rapidly cooled, the wall temperature of the tube head part is relatively high, and the cooling water will evaporate violently in the gap of the tube head, which will cause the tube to become thinner and leak after a long time. When nitrogen oxide is used, the temperature will drop once it enters the oil cooler, and condensed acid will be produced, and the condensed acid produced will have a relatively high inlet temperature, which will corrode stainless steel. If there is leakage in the tube, it is easy for nitrogen oxide to enter the circulating water. Once it enters the circulating water, dilute nitric acid will be produced, which will corrode the carbon steel shell and the composite tube sheet, which will accelerate the rupture of the tube.
Approach:
1. First of all, the temperature at the inlet should be lowered, the pipeline at the inlet should be removed, two welding water jackets should be used, and circulating water should be used for cooling, which can reduce the inlet temperature by 8 degrees Celsius, thereby reducing the stress;
2. Secondly, part of the stress can be eliminated, that is, expansion joints can be added to the equipment barrel; finally, the expansion welding used between the condensing tubes of the oil cooler and the tube sheet can be directly selected by welding, which is conducive to eliminating the expansion joint stress. . For the problem of Cl- corrosion, it is possible to reduce the Cl- concentration in the circulating water to weaken the Cl- corrosion.
In summary, the thinning and cracking of the cooler shell is determined by its working principle, so when we usually use the cooler, we must have a detailed understanding of all aspects of the equipment. Tuoyu Machinery will also continue to bring you the knowledge of coolers, welcome your attention.
